About Me

Hello, my name is Gerald Andrews and welcome to my portfolio website! I live in Bluefield, VA and I enjoy watching football, the outdoors and spending time with family. I am currently a self taught web developer and graphic designer, who loves to create random digital content for personal use and the web.

My interest for web development and graphic design began in 2013 when I started coding with HTML and styling those components with CSS and started editing photos using the photo editing software programs Photoshop and GIMP. Eventually I started learning about how to control the behavior of objects on a web page with JavaScript along with designing my own images, banners, and logos using the tools in Photoshop and GIMP. In 2015, I graduated with an associates degree in Information Technology from Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands Virginia. Since then I have devoted alot of my time into coding, learning, and improving my web development and graphic design skills through education, research, and designing and developing my own web development and graphic design projects from scratch along with content management systems such as WordPress and Wix.

My passion and goal for each project I create is to learn something new, create something that is user friendly, mobile responsive, and stands out to people. I am now seeking a full-time role to where I can use the experience, knowledge, and skills I have attained through web development, graphic design, and my years of experience working independently and with teams of people in the workforce into helping companies and clients succeed and reach their goals.
